The Ministry of Transport announced that Egypt had succeeded in obtaining the approval of the International Maritime Organization to establish a regional office for the International Maritime Organization in Egypt at the headquarters of the Egyptian Authority for the Safety of Maritime Navigation in Alexandria, where it was approved by the Technical Cooperation Committee No. 72 of the International Maritime Organization in line with the pioneering role and history of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Influential in all fields, including the maritime field, in addition to that Egypt has the oldest Egyptian universities in the field of maritime education and training.
